Lack of blogging...

I'm not sure if anyone even checks this anymore seeing as I've basically given up my blog! So to anyone who randomly checks it...sorry! I find that now that I have facebook it's easier to keep up to date with people and I feel less of a need to blog. I'll throw a few pictures one here of my recent trip to Ontario to be a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding! I caught the bouquet!!!!

FINALLY!

I couldn't say anything because it was a surprise!!! My childhood best friend, Britton (we've been friends since we were 3) is getting married in July and I am a bridesmaid in her wedding. Her wedding will be in good old Thunder Bay, Ontario. Which is where we grew up. Her and her fiance, Chris, now live just outside Toronto. So they planned a shag (a.k.a. Jack and Jill, also a way of raising lots of money for your wedding) for this past weekend and I showed up and surprised Britton!!! It was so great, I loved it. Her and Chris flew in to Thunder Bay from Toronto about six hours after my flight got in, so I went and got settled in at my grandparent's place then headed back to the airport to surprise Britton! Man was she shocked, it was great!
Here is Britton and I at the beginning of the night at the shag. Her shirt says "bride to be" and mine says "bridesmaid".

Here is some of the wedding party, plus two of Britton's close friends who are not in the wedding party. Their shirts say "best friend" then we've got the "bridesmaid" ones and the "maid of honour" one as well!
Me and Britt later on in the night!
Groom to be and bride to be! The guys had special shirts too, as you can see!

Rascal Flatts!

Sooooo. Cassie came to town so that we could see the Rascal Flatts concert. So much fun!!! We certainly partied it up like we used to, that's for sure. Here's Sara, me and Cass shortly before we headed to the concert. Afterwards we went to Vanilla Room, which was quite the gong show! Good times! I rarely go to after parties, but of course, the best friend comes to town and the next thing I know I don't get home until 4 am. Ahhh! But for once she seemed more hungover than me! I wish she still lived here...sigh. Well I will come and visit you this summer Cass, love ya!

Hahahahahaha! I look a tad bit funny.

Update

This is an update for all of you who know about my allergy problem that has been going on for about two and a half years now. The quick version for those that don't, is that out of nowhere about two and a half years ago, my face (mainly eye region) swelled up so much that I was completely unrecognizable. It was awful. That continued to happen every few months up until now. Well, my last attack was November 29, 2006. So just a few months ago. This would happen at night, in the afternoon, at work, at home, everywhere. Oviously this interferes with my life; I basically don't leave the house for two days waiting for the swelling to go down. Not to mention other things now come along with it, including horrible stomach pains and just feeling so worn out for a day or so afterwards.

After seeing a specialist and doing millions of tests, nothing was solved. He put me on a crazy diet, still nothing was solved. I now carry an epi-pen in case I'm somewhere that I cannot get immediate medical attention. So crazy, considering I have NO CLUE what causes these attacks. And no, there are no consistencies in what I eat before an attack, it's different each time, and is usually something I eat regularly with no problems.

I have recently seen a new specialist and so far I am very impressed with him. I had to go for tests over the weekend, including getting ten viles of blood taken (yikes). Tomorrow morning I have some x-rays and an ultra-sound then it's back to the specialist on March 14th, hopefully to find some answers. He is leaning towards it not being a food allergy and instead he thinks it might be something going on in my body internally. We shall see....

Anyway, that is the update. I'll let you all know when I find out more.....

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well it's Valentine's Day yet again! I used to really like this day back in high school, it was always so exciting to see what you would get and from who. I think it's somewhat played up now though if you ask me. Ryan surprised me with our Whistler trip as a Valentine's Day gift, and then he gave me a very sweet card today. He also cooked me a really nice dinner and we ordered this cake that is in the picture below. It was definitely a good Valentine's Day. Ryan makes me feel special all the time regardless of what day it is....cheesey some might say, but it's true! Anyway....who can tell what is wrong with this cake???...Hee hee hee.....
